Getting around
It’s incredibly easy to navigate Midtown Sacramento thanks to the classic grid system that was popular when Sacramento streets were plotted in the mid-19th century.
The Grid
Midtown is laid out in a grid pattern with numbered streets from 16th St. to 30th St. running north-south and lettered streets from B to V running east-west.
The names of the alleys begin with the letter of the lettered street to the north, i.e. Historic Alley is between H St. and I St.
The cross street is the first two digits of the address, i.e. 1909 is near the corner of 19th St.
You’ll never have to ask for directions here.
